Most Common Questions:
Is it really free?
Yes, all Family Features content is free. Family Features works with nationally-recognized corporate sponsors, commodity boards and associations to develop and distribute quality editorial pieces that are relevant to your readers.
You may publish the materials as provided or edit them to meet your needs. We simply ask that you give credit to our sponsor as provided in the materials, or if you choose to rewrite a feature, include some form of attribution to the sponsor. For example, you could indicate, "recipes courtesy of Nestlé Toll House Morsels," or "visit VeryBestBaking.com for more recipe ideas."
When possible, we appreciate receiving tear sheets of materials you publish. This allows us to track usage of the materials.

What if I need local stories?
Family Features understands the challenge publishers face in delivering unique local content that establishes a direct connection with readers. As such, Family Features encourages editors to localize content by adding local sources, photos and information. Many of our content items now include tips and resources to help you create a local story, such as local interview sources and details on community-specific events or programs.
When creating a customized or local story using Family Features materials, we ask only that you credit our sponsor and send us a tear sheet.

How long are your Features and Articles available?
We understand the importance of having timely content and aim to keep a good selection of content themed to reader needs. We suggest that you download content as soon as possible after seeing it as availability varies and can be as short as one month.

Must I publish the materials within a certain time after ordering/downloading?
Some materials are seasonal (holidays, special occasions) or highlight ingredients or products that are seasonal (for example, fresh produce, holiday items). By being sensitive to seasonality, you will help avoid readers not being able to find items at their local stores. Please note, content may also contain time-sensitive consumer offers, contests, and toll-free numbers or websites. For this reason it is best to run the materials within a reasonable amount of time.
